Privacy Policy

Who we are

Our website address is: https://seekandfindtruth.com.
This is a personal hobby site run by a private individual, with no commercial purpose or data monetization.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help detect and prevent spam.

An anonymized string (hash) generated from your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service to check if you use it. The Gravatar privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture (if available) may be publicly visible in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These exist for your convenience, so you don’t have to re-enter your details for future comments. These cookies last for one year.

If you visit our login page, a temporary cookie is set to check if your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, several cookies will be set up to save your login and display preferences. Login cookies last two days; screen option cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, login persists for two weeks. Logging out removes these cookies.

If you edit or publish an article, a cookie storing the post ID is saved. It contains no personal data and expires after one day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles). Embedded content behaves the same as if the visitor has visited the external website.

These websites may collect data, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that content—especially if you’re logged into an account on that site.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so we can recognize and approve future comments automatically.

If you register an account (if available), your personal information is stored in your user profile. You can view, edit, or delete your info at any time (except your username). Website administrators can also access and edit this data.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold, or request its deletion. This doesn’t include data retained for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where your data is sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
